Welcome!
This is The Wildflower Mind, a space for honest thoughts, unfiltered observations, and real talk about what it's like to be neurodivergent in the modern world. Written by a neurodivergent woman who spent her whole life caught between two worlds, this is a place where different isn't a problem to fix. It's something to celebrate. This is where I write about my life, my experiences, and the little things I notice that nobody else seems to. No filter. No masking. Just notes from a different kind of mind.
My Story
Like a wildflower planted in a garden built for domestic flowers, growing up neurodivergent meant learning to bloom in spaces that weren't made for me. Growing up feeling too "normal" for neurodivergent spaces but too "different" for neurotypical ones left me searching for somewhere I truly belonged. So I built it.
I'm Maddie — autistic, ADHD, and done pretending otherwise. If you've ever felt caught between two worlds, you're in exactly the right place. This is my corner of the internet where I share my honest thoughts, observations, and experiences as a neurodivergent woman in the modern world. Whether you're a fellow wildflower or someone who loves one, welcome.
For the wildflowers who've always been told they belong in a garden.
